Your business units are required to have appointed safety officers. This programme trains them and certifies them.

Training
What we do
- Train your nominated staff in Lao OSH law and the duties the law places on a safety officer
- Teach hazard identification, job safety analysis, risk assessment and workplace inspection
- Cover incident reporting, injury recordkeeping and basic investigation
- Issue certificates endorsed by the Department of Labour Management, MoLSW
- Deliver in Lao, English or Chinese, at your site or ours

Delivery at national scale
Under the VEFF II Occupational Health and Safety Programme (Contract 2196/DTVE, December 2025 to April 2026), SSI delivered all 14 planned workshops across 11 provinces to 244 participants, with 96.8% attendance. 89 participants — 36.5% — were women.
Scheduled sessions are arranged directly with SSI.
